He is survived by: his siblings, Sonya Rodencal, Jerry Strey (Pam), Brian Strey (Sue) and Shirley Roemer (Mark); his nieces and nephews, Katie Murphy (Andrew), Betsy Rodewald (Jeremy), Daniel Strey, Tarasita Respalje (Derek), Theresa Beckendorf (Corey), Tyler Strey (Tiffany), Steven Ahles, David Ahles and Tonya Ahles (Curt Olsen); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Aubrey, Ryan, Rylie, Sydney, Lorelai, Danielle, Emelia, Sophia, Savannah, Sylvianna, Raylene, Rosalie and Avery; and his aunt Beatrice Artz. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
