He was predeceased by: his parents, John Murphy and Alice Murphy (Dobbert); his brothers, John and Roger Murphy; his brother-in-law Melvin Maierhafer; and also, Henry and Audrey Maierhafer.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Murphy of Fremont; his daughters, Susan Gorski (Rob), Debra Pate and Mary Hudak (Mark); his grandson Zachary Pate (Emily); his sister Karen Reiter (Lyle); and his siblings-in-law, Karen Murphy, Carolyn Maierhafer and Leon Maierhafer (Carol). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbors, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church.
