It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Leon Fredrick Maierhafer of Fremont, Wisconsin, who passed away on January 28, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Maierhafer and Audrey Maierhafer (Wagner); his brother Melvin Maierhafer (Carolyn); and his brother-in-law Michael Murphy. He is survived by: his wife Carol Mielke; his sons, Tom Maierhafer, Daniel Maierhafer (Birsen Ayaz-Maierhafer) and Doug Maierhafer (Amanda); his grandchildren, Scott Howe and Cecelia Maierhafer; his great grandchild Eleanor Howe; his sister Carol Murphy; and his siblings-in-law, Warren Mielke (Pat), Ruth Drews and Mary Mielke. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John Lutheran Church (8580 37th Ave, Fremont, WI 54940).
A memorial fund has been established for St. John's Lutheran Church and NAFTS .
