With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Diane M. Schmidt of Fremont, Wisconsin, born in New London, Wisconsin, who passed away on March 11, 2023 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Casper Sawall and Zoa Sawall (Konow); her son Douglas Schmidt; her siblings, Dale Sawall, Donna Schmidt and Debbie Sawall; and her siblings-in-law, Garry Schmidt, Donald Ahrens, Judy Schmidt and Carol Schmidt.
She is survived by: her husband Neil Schmidt; her sons, Daniel Schmidt (Kay) and David Schmidt (Angela); her grandchildren, Natasha Schmidt (Zach), Carly Braun (Paul), Justin Schmidt and Daniele Lutz; her great grandchildren, Ada Mae Braun, Nova Casper Vasquez, Layla and Olivia Lutz; her siblings, Dolores Handschke (Marvin) and Delmar Sawall (Violet); and her siblings-in-law, Diane Ahrens, Kathy Schmidt and Ronald Schmidt.
A memorial fund has been established for Zion Lutheran Church.
