She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Jackels and Bernice Jackels; her former husband Dan Lester; her brother Bill Jackels; her niece Tracy Van Handel; and her parents-in-law, William and Marcia Lester.
She is survived by: her husband James Biese; her children, Jon Lester (Sally), Mike Lester (Katie) and Gina McLemore (James); her grandchildren, Megan, Macy Lester, Hunter, Kylie Lester, Dani Rose, Jacomus and Zakai McLemore; her siblings, Linda Van Handel (Florian), Bob Jackels (Lee Ann), Joe Jackels (Lisa), Pam Sturm (Jerry) and Tony Jackels (Beth); and her sister-in-law Karen Jackels. She is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Parkinson's Foundation in Mary Kay's honor.
