He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Paltzer and Leona Paltzer (Sell). He is survived by: his wife Brenda Paltzer (Duffek); his daughter Michelle Ramus (Paul); his grandchildren, Brayden, Morgan and Emilyn; his son Jeremy Paltzer (Kelly); his grandsons, William and Connor; his siblings, Jacob Paltzer (Joyce), Barb Bloedow (Harvey), Joe Paltzer (Kelly), Jerry Paltzer (Vicki), Debbie Werth (Clint) and Diane Martindale (Russ); his parents-in-law, Tom and Delores Duffek; and his siblings-in-law, Richard Duffek, Steve Duffek (Robin) and Jody Cota (Pat). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.
