It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Vander Heiden (Freedom, Wisconsin), who passed away on March 2, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kirby Conrad and Catherine Frances Kortz (Vander Heiden); her grandparents, Bernard, Mary Vander Heiden (Coenen), John and Josephine Kortz (Umlauft); her parents-in-law, Clayton and Rosella Vander Heiden; her brother William Kortz of Kaukauna, WI; and her brother-in-law John Pilgrim of Oconomowoc, WI.
She is survived by: her husband Gene Vander Heiden; her son David (Sheila); her grandchildren, Justin, Ryan, Brandon and Sean of Chilton, WI; her son Daniel (Dawn); her grandchildren, Danielle, Derek, Devin and Dayna of Appleton, WI; her son Duane (Laurie); her grandchildren, Jennifer, Michael, Kevin and Brian of Kaukauna, WI; her son Dean (Linda); her grandchildren, Summer (Tim Johnson), Christian and Gabriel of Appleton, WI; her great grandchildren, Wynter, Raynee and Rydge Johnson; her siblings, Mary Lom (Joe) of Appleton, WI, Helen (Chris Hendricks), Roy Kortz (Sue) of Waupaca, WI, Jim Kortz (Linda) of Kaukauna, WI, Lee Kortz (Carol) of Cincinnati, OH, Mark Kortz (Jan) of Kaukauna, WI and Carol Pilgrim of Oconomowoc, WI.; and her godchildren, Ann Laatsch and Dale Baeten. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
