Arthur Ernest Conklin Jr Obituary
Arthur Ernest Conklin Jr., 62, of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, at his home on October 9, 2021, from a long battle with cancer.
He was born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and graduated from Goodrich High School in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin in 1977. After high school, he went on to serve in the US Navy as a Boiler Technician on the USS Camden from 1978 - 1981. After being honorably discharged, Arthur was then employed with the Fond du Lac County Parks Department for 30 years. After retirement, Arthur worked for 5 years as a Delivery Driver and Driver Coordinator for Automotive Supply Company.
Arthur was an avid reader of James Patterson novels. He enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and NASCAR. Other favorite hobbies of Art's included riding his Harley, fishing, playing cribbage, and attending his grandchildren's school and sporting events.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Phyllis Guell and Arthur Conklin, and one half-brother, Randy Gustavus. He is survived by daughters, Heather Budler-Ronzoni, and Leanne Burda, grandchildren Morgan, Julien, Amaya, and Olive Budler-Ronzoni, and his siblings Suzette (Randy) Gajeski, and Rick Gustavus.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 13th, 2021 at 1:00 PM, with light refreshments to follow, at the Church of Peace UCC (158 South Military Road, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin 54935). Friends and family members of Art's are encouraged to bring their favorite memories, stories, and photos to share.
