We are sad to announce that on April 19, 2023, at the age of 94, Merlin C. Gerner (Fredonia, Wisconsin) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gerner and Alfreida Gerner; his wife Sylvia Himstedt; and his siblings, Willard Gerner, Raymond Gerner, Alice Seifert and Donald Gerner.

He is survived by: his sisters-in-law, Marlene Gerner and Joyce Mader. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John's Lutheran Church or School are appreciated.
