It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stephen W. Shafer (Frederic, Wisconsin), born in Menomonie, Wisconsin, who passed away on September 1, 2019, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucille Pitts and Palmer Shafer; his brother Ronald; and his grandson Brenden. He is survived by: his wife Judy of Frederic; his children, Tami Schullo (John) of Hudson, Craig Shafer (Debbie) of Roberts and Steve Shafer of Roberts; his stepchildren, Kara Dahm of Milwaukee, Allen Dahm of Chippewa Falls, Kelsey Mae Dahm of Frederic and Ian Dahm of Colorado; and his siblings, Bruce Pitts, Gregg Pitts (Tam) of Oregon, Linda Hixson (Ron) of Oregon, Sharon Pierce of Washinton, Cheryl, Diana and Teri. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and extended family.
