He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Diega Pérez Laboy; his children, Hector (Mary), Carlos (Zoraida), María Gloria (late Efrain), Santos Jr. (late María), José Manuel (Lillian) and Luz Divina (Roosevelt); his granddaughter Damaris (Ismael, Jr); his parents, Carlos and Maria; his siblings, Rosario, Benita, Encarnación, Petronila, Emilio, Dolores, María and Gregoria; and his brother-in-law José Antonio. He was also cherished by 31 grandchildren, 75 great grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren, other family members and friends.
