He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence and Charlotte; his wife Joanne Zeitler; his siblings, James Johnson and Joanne Schmid; and his brother-in-law Wayne Pieper.
He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Mengel (Jeff) of Elgin, IL, Stephanie Sorenson (Mike Graf) of Union Grove, Joel Johnson of Wauwatosa and Heidi Webb (Doug) of Burlington; his grandchildren, Brianna, Adam, Natalie (Kyle), Blake, Grace (Alissa), Samantha (Michael) and Sarra; his great grandchildren, Michael Jr. and Dahlia; and his sister Sandra Pieper of Albert Lea, MN.. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the North Cape Lutheran Church (2644 Raynor Ave, Franksville, WI 53126). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to North Cape Lutheran Church or Luther Seminary, St. Paul, MN.
