He was predeceased by: his parents, David Verlare and Lucille Verlare (Bunke); his siblings, Richard, Roger Verlare and Rhoda Martin; and his parents-in-law, Robert J. Boehm (Colonel) and Alice S. Boehm (US Navy-Wave).

He is survived by: his wife Ann Marie Verlare; his sister Ruthie; his siblings-in-law, Jim Ashe of Denver, CO and Mary Verlare of Barrington, IL; and his pet Charlie. He is also survived by nieces, nephews' other family members, friends.
