Carmelino Reyes Capati Jr. Obituary
Carmelino Reyes Capati Jr., known as Junior or Mang Jun by his loved ones, was born in Pampanga, Philippines on on December 13, 1941.Jun came to America in 1971 with very little capital, and instead of pursuing his degree in law, he decided to follow his passion in business and people, and opened The Asian Mart. Laughter and joy were always present in his interactions with others. If the total of a customer's bill was $20.50, he would tell the customer that the total was ONLY $2, 050! His loving and joking personality and his dedication to his business led him to making an everlasting impact on his community. Following the closing of The Asian Mart in 2012, he continued to enjoy his life with his family.
He will always be remembered by his dedicated wife Concepcion Aquino Capati née Carpio, his children Carmelino C. Capati (Cassie Capati née Pacapac), Mari-Paz C. Capati (Paul Penoske), his grandchildren Sidney Capati, John Paul Penoske, Carsen Capati, Kai Mari Penoske, and Carmelino Michael (Carmichael) Capati and many loved ones and friends. He is predeceased by his son Michael A. Capati who passed away in December of 2019. He joined our Creator peacefully at home with the company of his loving family on June 25, 2024.
The visitation will be held at St Eugene Congregation (7600 N Port Washington Rd, Fox Point, WI 53217) on Friday, June 28 2024, from 2pm to 5pm followed by funeral Mass at 5pm.
