She was predeceased by: her parents, George Witthun and Violet Witthun (Whipple); her husband Marvin Riel; her grandson Nicolous Riel; her children-in-law, Betty Riel and Jan Wapneski; her sisters, Bernice Vande Berg (Lester) and Hazel Vande Berg (Chris); and her brother-in-law Erwin Vande Zande.
She is survived by: her children, David Riel (Lois), Rosemary Wapneski, Kevin Riel, Michael Riel, Paul Riel (Sally) and Keith Riel (Jennifer); her sister Mildred Vande Zande; and her siblings-in-law, Clifford Otte and Joyce Riel. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be directed to the family in memory of Frances.
