He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucy Scott and Rufus Capps; his sons, Robert Capps and Danny Capps; his granddaughter Jamie Capps of Jennifer LeQuire; and his brothers, Eddie Capps and Marshall Capps.
He is survived by: his wife Nelia Capps; his daughters, Kathy, Garlin Campebell (David) and Angel Nuchols (Bobby); his brother Paul Capps (Harriett); his daughter-in-law Sharon Capps; and his grandchildren, Danny Capps Jr., Danielle Capps, Rocky LeQuire, Heavenlee Nuchols and Betty Rivera. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
