He was predeceased by: his parents, Dora Abts (Rothering) and Emil Abts; and his son William John. He is survived by: his children, Wayne (Kay), Bruce (Lisa), Betty Mielke (Paul) and Heidi Emanuel (Bob Amico); and his siblings, Ethel and Nathan. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
