It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Roger R. Gehrke (Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin), who passed away on December 18, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Priewe and Elsie Priewe (Krohn); his siblings, Robert, Richard, Gordon, Donald, Eleanor, Inez, Dorothy, Mary, Alice and Linda; and his siblings-in-law, Ken, Bill, Alan, Leland, Phil, Dean, Ethel and Barb.
He is survived by: his friend Roger; his uncle Roy; his aunt Irma Gehrke; his pet Maddie; his wife Shirley (Kutz); his children, Tanya and Scott; his grandchildren, Caden and Sierra; his stepgranddaughter Amelia; his siblings, Walter (Pam), Gerald (Donna), Ralph, Bruce (Sandy), Eunice, Shirley and Marie; his siblings-in-law, Roger, Jerry (Martha), Betty, Mary and Sandy; and his cousin Dave (Mary). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and countless friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM and on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John's Community Church (N2560 County Rd J, Fort Atkinson, WI 53538). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Roger's memory may make donations to St. John's Community Church or Rainbow Community Care Hospice.
