He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. Kyle and Elsie Kyle (Doetze); his daughter Kristine; his parents-in-law, Lynn and May Dunsmoor; and his sister-in-law Andrea Dunsmoor.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Dunsmoor; his daughter Amy; his son-in-law Barry Sexton; his grandsons, Brady Sexton (Maile Aalto) and Tyler Sexton; his brother Robert Kyle (Pat); his siblings-in-law, Lisa Dunsmoor, Bill Dunsmoor (Lisa), Gary Dunsmoor (Dawn), Bonnie Jaeger (Rick) and Carole Collins (Pat); and his godchildren, Bobby Kyle, Amanda Collins, Katelyn Fredrick and Levi Dunsmoor. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church.
