He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas M. Schindler and Dolores M. Schindler (Guggenbuehl); his brother Tim Schindler; his father-in-law Vincent Marx; and his siblings-in-law, George Timme and Nadine Fuchs.
He is survived by: his wife Luanne Schindler of Fort Atkinson; his children, Boyd Schindler (Christine) of Muskego, Wisconsin and Gina Heindl (Kevin) of Elgin, Illinois; his grandchildren, Keira, Cameron Heindl, Julia and Lauren Schindler; his siblings, Pat Schindler (Donna) of Surprise, Kathy Schindler of Fort Atkinson and Maureen Millard (Curt) of Fort Atkinson; his mother-in-law Bernice Marx of Sauk City, Wisconsin; and his siblings-in-law, Sheila Timme (Brent Lovejoy), June Dettman (Bill), Eloise Helms, Lori Ploetz (Steve), Trudi Marquardt (John), Karen Schindler, Dennis Marx (Sara) and Jake (Julia Johnson).
