With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Katherine A. Kutz of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, born in New Ulm, Minnesota, who passed away on November 3, 2020 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ernest Sperling and Lydia Sperling (Winter); her grandfather Martin Winter; her children, Leanne Hartwig (Rob) of Fort Atkinson and Daniel Kutz of Madison; her grandchildren, Lukas, Noah Hartwig of Fort Atkinson, Bethany Hartwig of Platteville, Aaron Handel-Kutz of Washington, D. C. and Benjamin Handel-Kutz of Madison; her brother John Sperling of Cortez, CO; her sister-in-law Marion Sperling of Cortez, CO; her husband Leon Kutz; her brother Robert Sperling; and her siblings-in-law, Harlow, Francis, Kenneth, Laverne, Gerald Kutz, Ruth, Louise, Beverly, Georgia, Jacolyn Kutz and Meridith Sperling. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or School.
