With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joanne E. Smith of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 25, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Anton Hillebrand and Louise Hillebrand. She is survived by: her husband Robert J. Smith of Whitewater; her son Paul (Cristina); her grandchildren, Ema, Greer and Barrett; her son Mark (Elizabeth Christians); her grandchildren, Nathaniel and Madeleine; her son James (Yvonne); her grandchildren, Samuel, Alexandra Ford (Keith) and Olivia; her sister-in-law Lorraine Hillebrand; her nephew Joseph Hillebrand (Elizabeth); her niece Catherine Salm (Paul); her great-nephews, Jacob, Joseph Salm (Erin), Matthew Salm (Regan) and John Salm (Megan); her great-niece Anna Hillebrand; her daughter Roberta; her brother Anton; her in-laws, James and Gertrude Smith; and also, Daniel, Jack, Hannah, Brooklynn, Michael English, Sarah Leisawitz (Alex), Claire, Abigail, Anna and Sage.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (1660 Endl Blvd, Fort Atkinson, WI 53538). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
