He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Zimmerman and Thelma Zimmerman (Groom); his sister Myrna; his son Brad Zimmerman; and his brothers, Dennis Daugherty (Ellie), Vince Daugherty (Deanna) and Reginald Daugherty.

He is survived by: his wife Connie Zimmerman; his children, Deanna Karbowski (Dennis) of Elkhorn, WI and Leslie "Butch" Zimmerman (Bev) of Fort Atkinson, WI; his grandchildren, Douglas Zimmerman (Alyssa) of Fort Atkinson, WI, Brooke Zimmerman (Ryan Tews) of Fort Atkinson, WI and Curtis "CJ" Zimmerman (Kayla Pallansch) of Janesville, WI; and his great grandchildren, Roman Zimmerman, Reese Zimmerman, Bennett Zimmerman, Daxton Zimmerman and Tenlei Tews.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made out to St. John's Lutheran Church in Cold Spring, and Rainbow Hospice.
