He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Donald E. Wahl and Margaret Wahl (Huettner); his wife Donna Wahl; his children, Beth Johnson (Tom) of Madison and Eric Wahl (Victor Arroyo) of Dallas, TX; his grandchildren, Sara Leuthold (Chris) of Cottage Grove and Kyle Johnson of Janesville; his great grandchildren, Evelyn, Nolan Johnson, Hannah, Lucas and Jack Leuthold; his siblings, Priscilla "Boots" Paupore of Fort Atkinson, Allen Wahl and Diane McNaughton; and his grandson Lucas Johnson. He was also cherished by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Donations can be made in Don's name to Fort Atkinson Community Band, Agrace Hospice Foundation, or Bethany Lutheran Church.
