He was predeceased by: his parents-in-law, Patricia and Gerald Nowicki; and his grandparents, Gerald, Mary Japp, Raymond and Joyce Wells.

He is survived by: his parents, Robert Wells and Cynthia Wells (Japp) of Watertown; his wife Saundra Wells of Fort Atkinson; his son Gavin Wells; his sister Sarah Chartier of Watertown; and his nieces, Hallie, Haven, Lillian, Ellie and Eden. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

Memorials in Daniel's honor may be made to his family in lieu of flowers.
