He is survived by: his wife Carol Dougherty Smith; his daughter Michelle Smith; his stepchildren, Colleen Burt, Pat Dougherty (Katya) and Tim Dougherty (Lindsay); and his grandchildren, Levi Barrett, Gavin, Isabell, Brodie, Zander and Axel.
