He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Albert Dier and Elizabeth Veronica Dier (Fett); his wife Jeanette Marie Holub; his great grandchild Elden Steinhoff; his brothers, Norman Dier and Marvin Dier (Grace); and his siblings-in-law, Richard Ronsman (Evelyn), Edwin Ronsman (Irene), Libby Bero (Hubert), Molly Hoffman (Lorenzo), Lillian Mauer (Harland) and Germaine Blaha (Ben).
He is survived by: his children, Mary Nelson (Roger), Laura Krzysiak (Gary), Kristine Dauenhauer (Floyd), Peggy Lynn, Thomas Dier (Laurie), Jacqueline Toepfer (Kurt Bullard), Jeffrey Dier (Alana) and Michelle Bastian (Daniel); his great grandchildren, Christine Blohowiak (Jerry), Jennifer (Mark Carrick), Blohowiak, Eric Nelson, Andrew (Kristina), Krzysiak (Landon), Laura (Frandy), Francois (Genevieve), Paul (Kendra), Julia Dauenhauer, Karl (Becca), Henry, Katie Dauenhauer, Jordan Hall, Josh (Molly), Schwader (Jack), Lindsey St. Arnold Bell (Jesse), Greg St (Jill Drzewiecki), Logan Dier, Austin Dier, Evan Dier, William Toepfer, Rebecca (Ryan), Bouche (Mehryn), Elizabeth (Brett), Anschutz (Edwin) and Anna Grovogel (Ty); and his sister-in-law Annabelle Dier. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; other relatives; and friends.
Memorials may be given in his honor for the EAS Foundation; the Parkinson's Association; or Unity Hospice.
