He was predeceased by: his father-in-law George "Buddy" Barnes; and his uncle Jim Hansen. He is survived by: his parents, William Polster and Sonja Polster (Everson); his wife Jen Barnes; his children, Lydia and James; his siblings, Aurelea Kawula (Mike), Mike Polster (Debra) and Green Bay; his parents-in-law, Debbie Barnes and Joe Barnes (Amy); his nieces and nephews, Joshua Barnes (Jo Jo), Kendra Barnes, Jolene Barnes, Amanda Kawula and Nathan Kawula; and his aunt Sandra Hansen. He is also survived by many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for Ben's children.
