She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Leo and Edith E. Cavey (Lohrman); her sons, Allan W. Olson and David A. Olson; her grandson Justin Hanson; her siblings, Thomas Cavey, Justin Cavey, Daniel Cavey and Nellie Jung; and also, Genevieve Horkey and Claude Horkey.
She is survived by: her husband Floyd; her children, Dennis Olson (Cathy), Cindy Simonson (Robert), Duane Olson and Carol Ann Olson; her grandchildren, Kim, Chad, Ryan, Sheila, Lori, Andrew, Lisa, Gretchen, Gabriel, Ethan, Noah and Jonah; her stepgrandchildren, Stacey and Korin; and her sister Edith Johnson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was the founding member of the National Donor Family Council, under the auspices of the National Kidney Foundation, was an advocate for organ and tissue donation and a sounding board for donor families, recipients and related health care personnel until hospitals began their own programs.
