He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Palmer and Marcia Palmer; and his siblings, Paul Palmer and Portia Wendt. He is survived by: his wife Carol Ann Brickmann; his children, John L. Palmer II (Laura) of Linn Township, Marcia Hammett (Daniel) of Linn Township and B. J. Palmer (John) of Crystal Lake; and his grandchildren, Gage Palmer, Esme Palmer, Daniel J. Hammett (Christina), Maureen Rebhorn (Johnny), Maddie Palmer and Hannah Palmer.
