He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Paul Howell and Lucille Howell (Richardson); his wife Susan Gilkes-Howell of Fontana; his children, Jay (Cathy) of Naperville, IL, Joanne Howell of Scottsdale, AZ, Jon (Barb) of Delavan, WI, Jill Ritchey (Allen) of Walworth, WI and James (Darla) of Huntsville, AL; his grandchildren, Samantha, Jason, Tessa, Max, Sam, Jessica and Nell; his great grandchildren, Grace, Lily, Wesley and Ella; his half-brother Steve Laabs of Fayetteville, PA.; and his sister Dorothy Dowden.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the family suggests memorials to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic, Burlington, WI or Aurora at Home Hospice, also of Burlington.
