She was predeceased by: her parents, Felix Alderton and Nina Russell Alderton; her husband Clare "Red" La Plante of Leonard's Church; and her siblings, James, Pixie (Felix) and Donna Klover.
She is survived by: her children, John La Plante (Sue) of Port Charlotte, FL, David La Plante of Hartford, WI, Barb Schuppe (Dick Backler) of Fond du Lac, WI, Deb La Plante (Jan Kaulins) of Manitou Beach, MI, Suzie La Plante (Dallas Janssen) of Des Moines, IA, Kathy La Plante (Therese Paulick) of Pembroke, NH and Jeanne La Plante of Columbia, NC.; her grandchildren, Justin La Plante, John La Plante (Ann), Kristin Loomans (Jeff), Jesse Laake (Jessie), Jennifer Laake, Julia Laake, Jesse La Plante (Moira), Sam La Plante Mattsson and Aidan Kaulins; her great grandchildren, Beck Frame (Daniel), Jessalynn "Gail" Laake, Shawn, Gino, DJ La Plante and Tyler Schuppe (Angela); her great great grandchildren, Landon, Anthony, Cecelia Claire, Daniel, Felix and Sophia; and her brother Fred Alderton of Laona. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-grand nieces and nephews.
These included: Loaves and Fishes, Good Samaritans, Red Hat Society, St. Lawrence Seminary, Calvary Parents' Guild, St. Mary's Altar and Rosary Society, Girl and Boy Scouting and she received the "Cheers for Volunteers" Award in 2012, which recognized her many contributions to Fond du Lac.
