She was predeceased by: her sisters, Gerlinde Sonntag (Werner) and Elfriede Meyer; her parents, Johann Meyer and Maria Meyer; and her grandson Donald James Votaw.
She is survived by: her husband Donald Votaw. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
