He was predeceased by: his parents, Norris Bird and Mary Ann Timm Bird; his siblings, Stephen Bird (Sandy) and Elizabeth Bird; and his nephews, Matt and Adam McCullough.

He is survived by: his siblings, Michael Bird (Arlene Costello), John Bird (Barbara), Phillip Bird (Luann), Maggie McCullough (Steve) and Meidana Pursifull (Rajiam). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their children.
