He is survived by: his wife Julia Thompson; his children, Jennifer Hamilton, John Hamilton, Jr. (Sarah), Kim Jenkins and Jamie Santillo (Nick); his grandchildren, Ann Marie Vores, Emil Schwitzer (Emily), Christina Hamilton (Fernandez), Daniel Hamilton (Fernandez), Madison Santillo, McKenzie Santillo and McKayla Santillo; his great grandchildren, Haylee Jenkins, Hannah Jenkins, Colton Schwitzer and Weston Schwitzer; his niece Tammy Galliant; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Robert Backus and Carly Mignella; and his nephew Ricky Syers.
