James J. Smet Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James J. Smet of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, who passed away on November 12, 2022 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Smet and Katherine Guptaitus (Schneider); his stepmother Hildegard Smet-Neubauer; and his siblings, Tony Guptaitus, Richard Smet and Joan Marcelja.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Smet (Faber); and his siblings, Eugene Smet (Marilyn) of Saukville, Michael Smet (Linda) of St. Peter, Mary Ann Salter, Joe Smet (Joan) of Fond and Lac. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
