He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Petrie and Emily Petrie (Andrew); his parents-in-law, Harold and Catherine Schnieder; his grandson Nick Aerts; and his brothers-in-law, Roman Krebsbach and Bernie Casper.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Ann Petrie; his children, James, Douglas Petrie (Deb), Diane Petrie and Joyce Greenwood-Aerts (Steve); his granddaughters, Stephanie Turner (Jon) and Kellie Greenwood (Ashton Novy); his great grandchild Val Turner; his sister Geneva Krebsbach; and his siblings-in-law, Marlys Casper, Janet Lauby (Jerry), Pat Klapperich (Gene), Mary Pitzen (Jim), David Schneider (Rose) and Gary Schneider (Kathy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Holy Family Catholic Parish or SSM Health at Home Hospice.
