He is survived by: his son Harold M. Schmitz (Gretchen); his grandchild Sloan Schmitz; his son James A. Schmitz (Diane); his grandchildren, Jason Schmitz (Paige) and Natalie Kollin (John); his great grandchild Ethan Schmitz; and his sisters, Georgene Smet and Patricia Mertens (Clem). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Church (271 Fourth St Way, Fond du Lac, WI 54937). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in his name.
