He was predeceased by: his parents, Benedict Sabel and Marcella Sabel (Guelig); his daughter Sharon Wilhelms (Tom); his granddaughter Megan Sager; his siblings, Gilbert (Dorothy), Charles (Nora), Harold, Oscar (Myrtle), Richard Sabel, Marie Kraus (Lawrence) and Gladys Lagenfeld (Gerald); and his brothers-in-law, Donald Johnson and Donald Perry.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Bukowski; his children, Randy Sabel (Jeanne), Laurie Sabel, Geriann Heath (Joe), Dawn Skala (Steve) and Denise Sabel; his grandchildren, Nathan Wilhelms (Tracy), Brian Wilhelms (Lydia), Laura Wilhelms, Anne Wilhelms, Ben Sabel (Kelly), Emma Herlache (Bryan), James Heath, Nick Heath, Jennifer Skala, Leigh Skala and Steve Skala; his great grandchildren, Alexa Wilhelms, Aiden Wilhelms, Ethan Wilhelms, Riley Savrsnik, Jackson Wilhelms, Madelyn Sager, Eleanor Herlache and Maeve Herlache; his siblings, Gordon Sabel (Inez) and Agnes Perry; his grandson-in-law Chris Sager; and his sisters-in-law, Rosann Johnson and Ardis Sabel. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital or St. Francis Home in Fond du Lac.
