He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldon Roethke and Phyllis Roethke; his wife Joyce Roethke; his great grandchild Raylen; his grandparents, Charles, Clara Baetz, Anna Baetz, Emil and Della Roethke; his parents-in-law, Bernard and Bardine Grahl; his brothers-in-law, Donald Grahl (Leah), Larry Bohlman, Fred Beede and Ronald Nichols; and his granddaughter-in-law Amy Konen.
He is survived by: his friend Joe Fell; his children, Lori Klahn (Joe), Charles "Chuck" Roethke (Marian) and Lynn Roethke (Lynda Johnson); his grandchildren, Craig Konen (Julie), Ben Konen (Connie), James Konen, Paul Konen (Jami), Christa Cardenas (Jeff), Charles Roethke (Bridget), Curtiss Johnson and Grant Johnson; his great grandchildren, Katie Gellings (Luke), Karlie Konen (Macoy Kohlman), Kyler Konen, Brittany Schoeder, Dyllan Konen, Christopher Konen, Shelby Konen, Korinne Konen, Jada Konen, Drake Konen, Jaxon Konen, Mason Cardenas, Jayden Cardenas, Brady Cardenas, Bryce Cardenas, Bentley Roethke and Conrad Roethke; and his great great grandchildren, Peytan Rogne, Jackson Mesich and Marietta Joyce Gellings. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorials in Charles' name can be directed to the Alzheimer's Association in honor of his wife Joyce.
