She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Thone and Alma Krause Thone; her sister Shirley Thone; her brother-in-law Eugene Kaufman; her nephew John Kaufman; and her goddaughter Dr. Heidi Pellett.
She is survived by: her husband Donald Nevala of Fond du Lac; her daughter Julie Damgaard (Tim) of Apple Valley, MN; her sister Marge Kaufman of Fond du Lac; and her brother-in-law Merlin Nevala (Patricia) of Menominee, WI. She is also survived by one niece and three nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Kurki Funeral Chapel (31 E Division St, Fond du Lac, WI 54935). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the Fond du Lac Humane Society.
