He was predeceased by: his parents, Ford Nelson and June Nelson (Loy); his wife Darla Nelson; and his sisters, Sharlynn Seipts and Anita McClain.
He is survived by: his sons, Daniel Nelson, Gerald Nelson (Robin Andrez), Glen Nelson (Teresa) and Chance Borden-Nelson; his brother Curtiss Nelson (Denise); and his grandchildren, Dawn Powers (Keleigh), David Nelson (Brandi), Hunter Nelson, Dmitri Nelson and Perry Nelson. He is also survived by six great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
