He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter Joseph DeGroot and Grace Evelyn DeGroot (Pennock); his wife JoDee DeGroot; his daughter Kelly Smith (Bill Krohn); his grandson Nate Smith (Edith Garcia); his sisters-in-law, Mary Siefert (Alex) and Sue Kopf (Paul); his nephew Fred Kopf; his niece KaDee Callahan (Steve); and his great-niece Sara Kopf.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given for the "Digger DeGroot Memorial Fund" (at Nicolet Bank, 9405 State Highway 42, Fish Creek, WI 54212) to help support the Noble House Gazebo Fund.
