She was predeceased by: her parents, Dean Hansen and Carol Young; her stepfather Gerald Young; and her siblings, Jennifer Hansen, David Hansen and Russell Hansen.

She is survived by: her husband Frank Kasowicz; her children, William "Bill" Kasowicz (Samantha Kleyn), Jesse Kasowicz, Brandy Lyon (Jason) and Frankie Kasowicz; her grandchildren, Cali Kasowicz, Harland Kasowicz, Ella Lyon, Mason Kasowicz and Jackson Donner; and her siblings, Helen Bullweg, Phyllis Bullweg (Joe), Carrie Hansen-Williams Williams (Tim), Peggy Meegan (Pete), Melanie Hansen and Steve Hansen (Debra). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

“My heart goes out to the family and friends. There are no words to express how sorry I am. My favorite memory of Jan was when she came to my house for Halloween. Her and Melanie passed out candy and scared the kids with this hand that was attached to a fishing pole. They dropped down the hand when kids came to the door. I still remember them laughing so hard.
