He was predeceased by: his parents, James Merida and Alice Roberts (Homeyer); his former wife Bernadine; and his daughter Julie Bieber. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Kisch-Payne; his daughter Peggi Roberts of Davenport; his stepsons, James Payne (Sara) of St and Alex Payne (Emily) of Chillicothe, IL; his grandchildren, Adam Bieber, Holly Akers (Joe), Aaron Payne, Harper Payne of St and Sienna Payne of St. Paul, MN; his great grandchild Julie Rose Akers; and his sister Alice Roberts of Lebanon, OR. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
