He was predeceased by: his parents, Chris Leirmo and Clara Leirmo (Aberg); his wife June Volden; and his daughter Jan Eloise. He is survived by: his children, Ferryville, Phyllis Gokey (Gary), Beth Wiebusch (Jeffrey), Carrie Brudos (James), Carl Leirmo (Flo) and Haldis Leirmo; his grandchildren, Hans Wiebusch (Noelle), Lyndsey Brudos, Jerinna Onafuwa (Adebayo), Tyler Brudos, Anna Buder (Brian), Bryant Seiler, Dana Medina (Milton) and Carl Shulka; his great grandchildren, Logan, Skylar, Aurora, Walter, Emily, Chloe and Ella; his siblings-in-law, Marylou Townsend, Margaret Frank and Orrin Arneson; his sisters, Celia Forde and Alice Swiggum; his siblings-in-law, JoAnn Volden, Eston Townsend, Bob Frank, Oliver Lightfoot, Nels Forde, Arthur Swiggum and Wayne Hanson; and his parents-in-law, Theodore and Clara Volden.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Freeman Lutheran Church.
