He was predeceased by: his parents, William Cooley and Clara Cooley (McKinney); his parents-in-law, Hermie Brechler and Marilyn Brechler (McKichan); his siblings, Edward Cooley and Gail Irish (Del); his brothers-in-law, Jerry Brechler and Tim Brechler; his niece Nyssa Irish; and his nephew Christopher Brechler.
He is survived by: his wife Merry Brechler of Fennimore; his daughters, Belinda Lewis (Joshua) of Fennimore and Blair Cooley (James Dechow) of Fennimore; his grandchildren, Piper, Paxton, Phoenyx Lewis and Blaze Roger Cooley; his sister Sandy Mead (Luther) of Cold Springs, TX; his brothers-in-law, Terry Brechler (Ann) of Rockford, IL and Tom Brechler (Diane) of Northridge, CA; and his nieces and nephews, Randy, Mike, Jeff, Peter, Ryan, Thomas, Shelia, Kathy, Sue, Terri, Tegan, Pam and Vanessa.
