He was predeceased by: his parents, Theran Dempsey and Shirley Dempsey (Bausman); his siblings, Beverly Wartenbee and Dean Dempsey; and his sister-in-law Joan Dempsey.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Koeller; his children, Jeff Dempsey of Phoenix, AZ, Jackie James of Reno, NV and James Dempsey (Patti) of Omro, WI; his grandchildren, Andrew (Tiara), Jordan (Gianna), Anthony (Amber), Jennifer (Bradley) and Amanda (Josh); and his siblings, Barry Dempsey, Bruce Dempsey (Jean) and Andrea Cook (Mauri). He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
