He was predeceased by: his parents, Orval Govier and Bernice Govier (Nelson); his sister Sylva; his stepfather Ed Woll; his stepbrother Stephen Woll; his parents-in-law, Leo and Gladys Degenhardt; and his siblings-in-law, Jackie, Robert "Bobby", Donald, Gary Reynolds and Sharon Simpson.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Degenhardt; his children, Rollo Govier (Lacy) of Fennimore, Randy Govier (Torri) of Fennimore, Robert Govier (Kim) of Fennimore and Rickie Govier (Kim) of Fennimore; his grandchildren, Patrick, Erin, Brecken, Jenna Govier, Abby Ealy, Courtney Sheckler (Wade) and Dakota Govier; his great grandchildren, Lilly Ann and Gavin; his sisters, Gayle Anderson of Fennimore and Cheryl Ferber (Ed) of Cedar Grove; and his brother-in-law Vern Kessenick of Sussex. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
