He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Monroe and Marie Monroe (Kreul); his son Don Monroe; and his siblings, Vern Monroe and Dorothy Becker.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Wehrle; his children, Cindy Monroe of Mt. Horeb, Mark Monroe (Susie) of Rockdale, TX, Tim Monroe (Lori) of Germantown, Polly Monroe of Verona and Peter Monroe (Renee) of Belleville; and his brother Hilton Monroe (Phyllis) of Camanche, IA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
